AInthology series
This debut series is based on the unpublished manuscript The Milburn Stone by Canadian author Mary Quayle Innis, first offered to publishers in 1963.

This series regenerates the six chapters of The Milburn Stone from their first paragraph, reimagining them into six audiobooks of short stories through ChatGPT and Listen2It. Each story is generated 65 times, with 13 stories generated every three weeks from January 26 to April 22, 2023.

The AInthology series is made possible by the generous permission of the Mary Quayle Innis Estate and the support from the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library at the University of Toronto.
This project was supervised by Dr. Kate Maddalena as part of the University of Toronto’s Book History and Print Culture collaborative program and is funded by the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology at the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Graduate Expansion Fund. Cover art for the series is AI-generated using Stable Diffusion 1.5.
